Fergus Cruickshank

Fergus CruickshankI studied Time Based Art and Digital Film at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. It was during my art school years that my passion for documentary film developed.
I have continued film-making after my degree show in 2013; working as a freelancer and by the end of that year collaborating with the village of Oldmeldrum to produce a film celebrating their local culture and history.
I currently work as a Digital Film Maker for Enterprise Screen Productions with experience in television adverts and corporate films.
My love of documentaries has remained and I am currently producing a film about Liver Transplant surgery, a short documentary about my grandparent’s lives and a digital portrait of my father’s Munro obsession.
I am fascinated by human stories and this is the primary reason I will be embarking on this voyage. By retracing the steps of Hugh Miller with a group of scientific and artistic individuals I look forward to gaining an insight into creative methodologies and learning about the scientific and cultural history of the area.
